Staying connected with customers is challenging, especially when large online retailers compete on convenience. One way to stand out is by reaching customers through multiple channels that work together and feel like a natural part of their shopping experience.

After a successful promotion, our client wanted to build on that momentum and achieve results beyond the typical 4–8% response rate. As a retailer known for outstanding customer service and quality, they also wanted to thank customers with a meaningful gesture and a special offer. Sending a Hallmark greeting card gave them a personal way to show appreciation while encouraging customers to shop both in-store and online.

To help the message stand out from other marketing materials, we created a custom greeting card that followed the client’s brand guidelines. The card included a sincere thank-you message and a limited-time offer. Delivered in a Hallmark envelope featuring the iconic gold seal, the mailing captured attention and increased the likelihood that customers would open and read it.In the weeks that followed, customers received two emails that reinforced the offer and reflected the same look and message as the greeting card. Together, the direct mail and email campaign kept the offer top of mind and helped increase response and sales.
